Advanced Vehicle Assemblies Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced engineering manager to oversee all technical needs in our Roseville facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage equipment specification sheets for the facility
- Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing methods and process/design changes to enhance profit potential and reduce costs
- Schedule and meet with engineering team on a weekly basis to discuss projects and task lists
- Review and approve new RFQ processes and product requirements
- Assist in designing and developing roll form tooling, including strip layouts, die construction, roll design, etc.
- Collaborate on designing and building secondary operations such as stretch bending and welding
- Monitor and report progress of CI Projects
- Contribute to the development of tooling standards
- Participate in the development and improvement of current and new tooling sources
- Resolve equipment issues in the facility
- Work alongside the Quality manager to address customer issues
- Collaborate with the toolroom on detail drawings for tooling needed
- Partner with the maintenance team on projects to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field
- 8 years of experience in roll forming
- Strong understanding of metal forming processes (stamping, roll forming, welding, bending)
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ability to troubleshoot roll mill setup issues
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
