Job Description
The Operations Manager focuses on overseeing operational tasks related to customer care, warehouse management, and logistics, contributing to overall efficiency and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a background in logistics operations, supply chain management, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Oversight: Coordinate and manage daily operations across customer care, warehouse activities, and logistics to maintain high service standards and cost efficiency.
· Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges in logistics and warehousing to ensure consistent performance and customer satisfaction.
· Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including customer service, warehouse staff, and logistics teams, to align efforts with organizational objectives.
· Resource Planning: Support resource allocation, scheduling, and forecasting to meet the dynamic needs of 3PL operations.
· Client Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors, ensuring smooth communication and operational excellence.
· Process Improvement: Assist in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· KPI Tracking: Generate and monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure goals are met.
· Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
· Training and Development: Support onboarding and training initiatives to build a knowledgeable and capable team.
· Reporting: Prepare and share routine operational updates with leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 5 years of experience in 3PL operations or a similar logistics/supply chain role.
Leadership Skills: Strong organizational and communication abilities with experience in team coordination.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to resolve logistical challenges and implement effective solutions.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with operational tools, data analysis, and performance tracking relevant to logistics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
Process Improvement: Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Ethics and Accountability: Demonstrates integrity and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
Language: English fluent mandatory, Korean preferred
Work Conditions
- Salary: $60,000
- Full time On-Site Employment
- Location: Joliet, IL
- Hours: M-F, 8AM to 5PM
- May require occasional travel to various 3PL provider locations
- Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones and operational demands
