The Track Administrator is responsible for accurately recording, tracking, and reporting workforce hours, equipment usage, and daily activities on a project site. This role supports project managers, field supervisors, and administrative teams by ensuring all timekeeping and project tracking data is maintained in an organized and timely manner. The Track Administrator plays a key role in helping projects stay on schedule and within budget by providing up-to-date, accurate information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily tracking logs for employee hours, equipment utilization, and project progress
- Collect, verify, and input timesheets and field data into tracking systems or timekeeping software
- Coordinate with field supervisors to ensure all data is accurate and submitted on time
- Assist with tracking change orders, work orders, and progress against scheduled activities
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for project controls, payroll, and management review
- Track crew movement and assignments to ensure proper labor cost allocation
- Support the scheduling team with updates based on actual progress from the field
- Maintain organized digital and physical records of all project tracking documentation
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews by providing detailed and accurate logs
- Communicate with payroll, HR, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field preferred)
- 5 years of experience in a timekeeping or project tracking role, preferably in industrial or construction settings
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software; familiarity with project tracking or timekeeping systems (must know TRACK)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of union labor rules and site-specific requirements is a plus
