Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems including fire alarms and security alarms.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper installation and functionality of alarm systems.
- Conduct system design assessments to meet client specifications and compliance with local codes.
- Utilize power tools effectively and safely during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine inspections and tests on alarm systems to detect malfunctions or issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding alarm systems.
- Collaborate with sales teams on fire alarm sales opportunities to expand service offerings.
- Document all service activities accurately in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in the alarm industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various alarm systems.
- Familiarity with CAD software for system design purposes is preferred.
- Knowledge of NEC standards related to electrical installations is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
