Fire and Security Alarm Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems, ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics, fire alarm systems, and mechanical knowledge to effectively design and implement security solutions.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair various alarm systems including fire alarms and security systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper installation and functionality of alarm systems.
• Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with NEC standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to design customized alarm system solutions based on their specific needs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing alarm systems.
• Engage in alarm system sales by educating customers on available products and services.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and inspections.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role within the alarm industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to build and troubleshoot alarm systems.
• Familiarity with fire alarm systems and relevant safety codes.
• Experience in system design is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
