What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sampling Equipment Technician position at Advanced Worker?
Provide installation, startup, repair and preventive maintenance services for online sample systems, sample conditioning systems and instrumentation in the power and other industries. Service is performed at the customer site while promoting customer satisfaction and growth throughout the assigned territory.
:
- Perform Startup and Commissioning services on newly purchased systems to help promote new maintenance agreements.
- Participate in the execution of install/retrofit projects to the satisfaction of customers.
- Full understanding of Salesforce and thorough input of data into asset management, cases and account notes sections.
- Recommend new product and service ideas to best serve our new and existing customers.
- Take on the role of product champion to assist inside and outside customers with equipment challenges related to an assigned product(s).
- Recommend ways to fill any gaps in schedules and discuss opportunities to provide added value during downtime with Service Supervisor and/or Service Manager.
- Identify leads for new maintenance agreements.
- Demonstrate the ability to quote parts and consumables to existing customers. Provide parts and consumables quotes to responsible maintenance agreement accounts as able.
- 100% on time service reports to customers.
- Help with training and support of newer technicians.
:
- Preferably a two-year technical degree in electronics; equivalent experience may substitute.
- 2 years relevant field experience working on sampling equipment and associated analytics.
- Advanced electromechanical skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability including piping, tubing and equipment mounting.
- Strong understanding of internal processes and departmental responsibilities.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency with commonly used electronic test equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral, telephone and customer service.
- Able to read and understand P&ID and isometric drawings to determine tie points and equipment mounting locations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of fluid flow characteristics.

- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on industrial catwalks and stairways.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
- Ability to travel 4 nights / 5 days per week including occasional weekends.
- Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office.
- Capable of working with powered and manual hand tools.
- Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be willing to follow established safety and operational procedures.
- TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card possession or eligibility may be required, based on assigned region.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
