What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCB | Via Fill Operator 2nd & 3rd Shift position at AdvancedPCB?
Scope:
A via is a copper-plated hole used to connect two or more layers in a printed circuit board (PCB). Via Fill is a manufacturing process used to selectively and completely fill or close via holes by applying an epoxy to the PCB and then planarizing epoxy and copper once the epoxy is cured.
AdvancedPCB is looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking for an exciting and rewarding opportunity. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and show a true sense of urgency.
Essential Job Function:
- Operate all department equipment, quality checks, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs
- Enter jobs into the manufacturing tracking system
- Read and interpret shop orders to verify that all previous operations were completed, to verify count and verify quality
- Maintain a safe, neat, and organized workplace
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary
Essential Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Similar manufacturing related industry preferred but not required
- Able to work in a team environment and willing to cross train
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without straining
Physical Requirements:
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Repeat the same movements.
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
- Understand the speech of another person.
- Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
- Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.

This position requires access to controlled technical data and/or participation in activities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
