Responsibilities
SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting with various department level projects. Conducts initial member interview on business account referrals, reviews business account request for fit with niche product offering and acts as point of contact throughout the account opening process. Reviews, updates existing procedures and works with primary SME to develop new procedures. Acts as the primary back-up for Business Accounts, IRAs, Trust accounts and In Bound USA accounts. Assists with staff training
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as
necessary.
- Performs initial processing on Business account referrals. Reviews PRISM referral cases for accuracy. Examines business type and Supporting documentation for required information and business account viability within credit union product offering. Contacts member for initial interview and additional document requirements. Acts a point of contact with member through the account opening process. Coordinates with the business account primary SME to open business accounts
- Assists on various department projects. Performs tasks and action items related to project needs. Creates associated forms and assists with development of procedures as needed. Submits completed procedures for PASS processing.
- Assists with dormant account research to determine escheatment conditions, submits escheatment data to various states and performs steps to remit escheatment funds.
- Assists with member tax form data review and proofing of documents for approval prior to mail house distribution of forms. Researches tax form correction requests, generates corrected forms as needed. Work with I.T. to transmit data to taxing agencies when applicable.
- Functions as a back-up for IRA accounts. Reviews IRA documents and assists branch staff with IRA requests. Processes various member IRA transactions. Reviews member IRA documents. Performs adjustments on IRA accounts. Assists with annual IRA RMD processing. Works with IRA document vendor and I.T. on annual IRA forms updates and associated Symitar programming.
- Acts as a back-up and contact for Trust accounts. Reviews Trust documents and assists branch staff on Trust account requests.
- Acts as back-up and contact for In Bound USA accounts. Assists branch staff on In Bound USA account questions
- Functions as a back-up on certificates, dividend calculations, and adjustments. Assists branch staff with certificate and dividend questions.
- Researches competitors’ products and marketing promotions to identify product or service gaps with the credit union’s product offerings. Assists department SME to develop recommendations for potential new products and services.
- Assists the department SME and Training department with account product training, including developing training materials, conducting training sessions, and identifying product areas that need additional training and communication.
- Assists with reviewing, updating, and creation of account product procedures and policies.
- Maintains a positive and caring atmosphere for members and employees consistent with the Credit Union's mission and philosophy.
- Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of computer equipment and software required including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
The salary range for this position is $20.69 - $25.86/hr. and is based on experience.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma plus a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
