What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Manager position at Advanex Americas?
- Supervision of assigned subordinates.
- Reads blueprints and trains lower level employees on performing the same duties and prepares them for increase responsibility.
- Draw blueprints of new tools for easy reproduction.
- Operates equipment such as surface grinder, drill press, milling machine, and engine lathe accurately and in a responsible manner
- Trains lower level employee’s equipment operation and prepare them for increase responsibility.
- Repairing / remaking machine parts.
- Performs more complex repairs and adjustments than lower level employees
- Corrects any production problems reported by subordinates or advises Manager of situation as appropriate
- Identifies potential problem and makes suggestions to management for correction or preventing them
- Makes suggestions to management on improving productivity and increasing efficiency.
Other duties may be assigned as needed by the company.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Successful completion of courses in machine shop functions and equipment, machine math, blue print reading, basic electronics, electrical single & 3 ph, AC/DC motor controls, GFI systems, welding, plumbing, air, water, and HVAC.
Minimum of 10 years work experience performing those duties or highly comparable to those described under the “Duties and Responsibilities” of this job description.
JOB SKILLS
- Able to detect problems while machine is in operation and make difficult repairs on a wide variety of machines in all of the departments as assigned.
- Thorough understanding of mathematical concepts
- Considerable understanding of all the different types of spring making machines used in all departments and how they operate
- Operation of machine shop equipment such as the drill press, engine lathe, surface grinder, and milling machines
- Using machine shop tools such as a micrometer and a caliper accurately
- Reading blue prints effectively and accurately.
