Job Description
Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as, established company policies, procedures, and controls.
Troubleshoot and solve maintenance-related problems including mechanical, electrical, and individual equipment problems.
Maintain and repair manufacturing support equipment and utilities to ensure smooth and continuous operation of production and manufacturing process.
Able to work flexible hours, weekends and respond to plant emergencies on very short notice.
Performs minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis.
Other duties may be assigned as needed by the company.
Must be flexible with training before moving to 3rd shift.
Experience Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Mechanical aptitude require
Knowledge of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work.
Exceptionally skilled in the used of hand and power tools.
Job Skills / Competencies
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondences.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio percent, and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to meet physical demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. (Employee will frequently lift and / or move more than 50 lbs.)
