Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to engage youth, foster healthy relationships, and build skills utilizing creative approaches to improve life functioning. And to incorporate families and the community into the youth’s resiliency journey.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM or 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM during school days, and 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM during school breaks & summer.
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
1. Coordinates/provides resiliency support services.
- Provides overall daily care for youth, preparing meals, cleaning/organizing, transportation, general oversight, rapport building through games/play, etc. during their 9-12 month engagement in the program.
- Provides skills training groups to youth (3rd-12th grade), incorporating evidence-based practices/curriculums and creative activities.
- Collaborates as a team to creatively plan, organize, and provide unique opportunities and pro-social community activities for youth and families.
- Provides CSI (Community Support Individual) to members on caseload or as needed.
- Documents to account for all services provided. Charts all contacts with families, community agencies, or other collaborations for the member’s care.
- Collaborate with parents to coordinate care for members.
- Works cooperatively with other community agencies which may be serving the member (school system, DFCS, etc.)
- Advocates for youth with mental health and behavioral challenges.
- Maintains the strictest confidentiality of all information related to the member’s care.
2. Works within a team environment and with external stakeholders
- Attend staff meetings, conferences, workshops, or other meetings as required by the supervisor or agency.
- Works cooperatively and in a professional manner with all clubhouse staff and other agency personnel.
- Assists with daily administrative tasks as assigned or needed.
- Collaborates with community organizations/places of business.
3. Provides transportation for members.
4. Monitors members’ progress towards treatment goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR may substitute 1-2 years’ experience working with children/youth and/or in the behavioral health field.
Preferred Qualifications: Computer proficiency, previous work with electronic health record systems, and work with children/youth
