Dental Assistant – PT/FT Dental Exp req'd | Brookville & Freeport
Schedule: 8:30AM - 5:30PM | Two - Four days per week
Brookville and Freeport locations!
Salary: $24.50 - $28.25/hr

Our Dental Assistants help facilitate the delivery of dental services by dentists and dental hygienists.
In this role, you will:
- Assist dentist/hygienist during the examination and treatment of patients.
- Prepare patients for dental examination.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist the dentist during dental procedures.
- Take/record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
- Expose dental diagnostic x-rays, when the dentist is on site.
- Assist dentist/hygienist in the management of medical and dental emergencies.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Provide pre/peri/post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist.
- Maintain clerical records, dental inventory and ordering.
- Ensure OSHA and all safety requirements are observed.
We require:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an approved dental assistant training program preferred
- Basic Life Support/AED certification preferred
- At least six (6) months of experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience serving persons with developmental delays or disabilities, a plus
- Spanish speaking a plus
