We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.
JOB TITLE: General Cleaner
OBJECTIVE: Take care of all facilities and carry out cleaning and special jobs duties with high quality service.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor/ Area Manager or Operations Manager
Essential Duties:
- Maintain and keep all facilities clean and in orderly condition.
- Clean interior and exterior of buildings including all floors, windows, walls and surfaces, windows, glass, garbage, bathrooms, and high-dusting
- Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones ect.
- Maintain inventory/supplies and inform management when new products are needed.
- Follow Safety Procedures when unsafe conditions arise. (SOP OSHA provided)
- Empty recycling and compost bins.
- Pay attention to details and time management.
- Operate floor scrubbers, burnishing machines and other cleaning equipment
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or emergencies
- Reports directly to Supervisor for any concerns, training and support
- Assist with overall health and quality of clients locations
- Open and flexible with any essential duties requested from clients
Position Responsibilities:
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.)
- Perform and document routine inspection and cleaning activities.
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repair.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs when needed.
- Stock and maintain supply rooms.
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Report to management when supply is running low in the janitor closet.
- Follow client and location schedule according to agreement and scope of work
- Clocking in and out with Smart phone with assigned app according to schedule
- Working with team members to accomplish scope of work
- Constant communication with management team through tech and uploading photos
- Cleaning inside and outside of locations depending on scope of work
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
- High School or equivalent
Requirement:
- Smart phone skills
- Flexibility with work hours and workdays is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven working experience as a cleaner.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets
- Effective communication skills
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands for equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. May have to stand for long periods of time. May have to lift 35 to 50 pounds.
Travel: As needed for required assignments, special jobs, training and conferences.
