Mobile Injection Nurse

Advantage Healthcare Services is a chain of independent retail pharmacies specializing in various behavioral health medications. We have an opening for a Licensed Vocational Nurse OR Registered Nurse to facilitate our clinic in Modesto/Ceres, CA.

Area of Coverage: Modesto and Ceres Area

Scheduling Window: Thursdays between 10:00AM to 12:00PM

This position would serve as a 10-99 independently contracted LVN or RN responsible for administering intramuscular long-acting injectables (LAIs) to our patients. You will be required to pick up injections every week from our pharmacy and travel to our clinics and/or patient's residential in areas. A clinician will be present to address any patients' concerns in the clinic. Your primary responsibility is to safely administer LAI injections to the patients in a timely manner and properly complete the necessary documentation.

Our nurses are compensated at $60 per hour plus mileage reimbursements at the California mileage rate for any distance traveled AFTER the first 50 miles each day (first 50 miles is not included as part of the reimbursement). Each clinic is conducted on Thursdays for a two-hour period. There may also be a potential increase of clinic hours in the future. Otherwise, you would be making your own schedule when you need to go to patients' residents to administer their injection.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to the pharmacy every week to pick up injections
• Update daily timesheets in real time to be compensated accordingly
• Communicate effectively with the pharmacy staff
• Arrive at the clinics and/or patients' resident in a timely manner
• Verify patient's information using the provided forms
• Complete proper documentation using our online platform with each patient
• Remain professional and polite at all times

Requirements:

• Be located in the Modesto/Ceres Area, or nearby surrounding areas
• Be flexible in traveling to the clinic or patients' resident
• Familiarity with Google Suite and/or M365
• Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Must be a registered LVN or RN with a valid California Driver's License
• Willing to travel and drive for long periods of time with the most effective route
• Willing to obtain and maintain a current malpractice insurance
• Previous experience with Psych LAIs

Preferred Qualities:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Previous experience working with Behavioral Health population
• Previous experience as a Mobile Injection Nurse, or similar field

Pay Rate: $60 per hour mileage reimbursements (after 50 miles/day)

Schedule: Per diem
