Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive business office manager to support our hospice agency's day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word), possess excellent communication skills, and be capable of handling various administrative tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain all staff and contract personnel files
· Track admissions, discharge, certificate and recertification dates on all patients.
· Assume various duties as directed by the Administrator
· Perform receptionist duties, including answering phones.
· Fax orders and manage electronic documentation.
· Order Durable Medical Equipment (DME) through online portals.
· Order comfort packs from Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM).
· Assist field staff with necessary tasks and troubleshooting issues.
· Order hospice personal supplies and manage inventory.
· Handle day-to-day administrative tasks and ensure smooth office operations.
· Communicate effectively with referral sources and articulate emails professionally.
· Support the team with any additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and composure.
· Previous experience in a healthcare or hospice setting is a plus.
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration are a plus.
