About Us:
We are a well-established lumber company specializing in luxury building products, including exotic hardwood decking and siding, as well as domestic and exotic hardwood lumber and flooring. We are seeking an energetic and mechanically inclined individual to join our team in a hybrid position that combines building and machine maintenance, machine operation, and general labor. Job Description:
This full-time position offers a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Building Maintenance: General building repairs and upkeep.
- Machine Maintenance: Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment.
- Machine Operation: Operating machinery safely and efficiently.
- General Labor: Assisting with other duties as needed around the facility.
Work Hours:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Occasional overtime (seasonal) and occasional Saturday half days, as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:

Job Requirements:
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Experience with machine operation and maintenance, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Organization Skills: Able to manage preventative maintenance schedules and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Dependability: Consistent punctuality and accountability.
- Initiative: Self-starter, fast learner, and motivated to solve problems.
- Positive Attitude: Professionalism, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
- Safety Awareness: Committed to following company safety guidelines and all relevant laws.
Ideal Experience & Skills:
- Previous maintenance experience, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with machines such as Molder, Planer, Sander, Shaper, Rip Saw, and Upcut Saw.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
- Preferred but not required:
- Experience in a lumber mill.
- Welding and carpentry skills.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more and work comfortably from ladders.
- Basic mathematical calculation skills.
