JOB TITLE: FLOOR CLEANING TECHNICIANS

SHIFT: MONDAY TO FRIDAY / 2ND SHIFT [AFTERNOON] (2:30 PM TO 11:00 PM)

STARTING PAY: $17 PER HOUR

START DATE: ASAP

JOB LOCATION: NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI

We are seeking one (1) hardworking Floor Cleaning Technician to join our janitorial team at a well-known employer in North Kingstown. This is for 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. We are willing to provide training, but we are seeking candidates that have worked with floor cleaning, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing equipment for a minimum of one (1) year. Candidates must know how to operate a walk-behind or a side-by-side or a floor buffer or scrubber.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

· Basic knowledge of janitorial functions and duties

· Basic knowledge of commercial housekeeping functions and duties

· At least 1 year of experience using floor equipment (scrubber, buffer, waxer, walk-behind, side-by-side, or similar); knowledgeable in equipment use and proper safety protocols.

· Must be able to pass a very thorough criminal background check

· Must be able to work respectfully and cooperatively with others

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Work well with your Advantage Maintenance colleagues and on-site employees

· Handle chemicals, cleaning products, and heavy equipment for the stripping, buffing, and waxing processes.

· Follow workplace safety policies and procedures as established by your job site AND your employer

· Attend all training sessions as requested

WORKING CONDITIONS (Travel, hours, and environment):

· Ability to work full-time on dedicated schedule and spend most of the day standing or walking

PHYSICAL / SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 0 and up to 10 pounds of force constantly (in lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving objects).

· Long periods of standing and walking, with occasional sitting

· Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching

· Occasional twisting and kneeling
