JOB TITLE: JANITORIAL TEAM LEAD

SHIFT: MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 2ND SHIFT (02:30 PM TO 11:00 PM)

STARTING PAY: $17.50 PER HOUR

START DATE: ASAP

JOB LOCATION: NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a leader with a janitorial, custodial, or facilities management background to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be providing support to our supervisor by overseeing our janitorial field employees in one area for 2nd shift. Must be friendly, a positive leader, and very detail-oriented. Bilingual in both English and Spanish is STRONGLY PREFERRED, but we will also consider English speaking only.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Act as the main point of contact for field employees within your area
• Assist in onboarding, training, and developing all on-site personnel
• Properly handle sensitive employee information and reports
• Assist in review of employee punches and uniform distribution
• Follow and uphold the regulations, policies, and procedures of the job sites AND the employer
• Provide feedback to guide the proper behavior and performance of employees
• Mediate and notify supervisor of unsafe conditions, incidents, and workplace conflict
• Attend all training sessions as requested; Assist in hosting training sessions as needed
• Work well with your Advantage Maintenance colleagues and on-site employees
• Any other duties that be required

Qualifications & Skills:

• You have at least 1 year supervising janitorial or custodial employees.
• You have strong leadership skills to mentor and encourage employees to achieve performance standards.
• Good interpersonal communication, time-management, and organizational skills are essential.
• You work well with little to no supervision and understand the importance of constant communication and coordination with the entire Operations team.
• Intermediate knowledge of janitorial functions and cleaning products are a plus.
• Multi-tasking is your middle name!
• You are extremely organized, detail-oriented, and a problem solver!
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred, but we will consider only English-speaking candidates.
