Job Summary
The Quality Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves conducting thorough inspections, performing audits, and utilizing precision measuring instruments to assess product quality. The Quality Auditor will collaborate with various departments to maintain compliance with quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
- Conduct quality inspections of products throughout the production process to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers for accurate measurements.
- Document findings from audits and inspections, providing reports to management when audit failure is identified.
- Resolve quality-related issues promptly and effectively to prevent defective products from reaching the customer.
- Identify any non-conforming condition upon inspection and notify the QA Technician, Supervisor/Team Lead of the audit failure.
- Maintain overall part quality by inspecting issues such as flashes, shorts, deformation, or other defects.
- Verify and approve that all products are packaged according to specifications, including label accuracy, packaging material (e.g., totes, cartons), pallet configurations, and information
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to quality assurance.
- Monitor and record machine parameters (e.g., cycle time, cooling time, charge time) to ensure consistent part quality.
Skills
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to distinguish color variations.
- Able to read and understand all work instructions and customer QA requirements.
- Experience in quality inspection processes and methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
Required Experience
- At least 1-year prior experience in a quality assurance or quality control manufacturing environment.
- Experience with QA tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, GO/NO GO, and other measurement equipment.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
