The Logistics Supervisor is a key member of the Logistics department and is responsible for supervising the department members and process related to shipping and transportation. The Logistics Supervisor will be a direct internal source of information for transportation and logistics at AMS. This role will help answer and supervise day to day questions and issues involving shipping working closely with the Shipping and Logistics Manager and V.P. of Logistics. This role will be essential in auditing client process and ship rules to ensure proper rates and services are used to meet the client expectation, and associated analytics. The Logistics Supervisor will work closely with the OPS shipping teams on training to ensure the proper methods, processes and rules are followed throughout the organization. This position will report directly with the V.P. of Logistics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision of the transportation and service-related floor processes.
- Supervise building auditors and daily reporting.
- Track and monitor transportation cost performance by client to ensure estimated package costs are within an acceptable range, minimizing risk exposure.
- Coordinate and lead discussions for business review meetings with external partners and internal customers.
- Responsible for client reporting for assigned network and carrier group.
- Support cross functional teams on transportation related analysis and data requests.
- Analyze and interpret various data sources to monitor network performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaboration with carrier partners and internal stakeholders to deliver on-time delivery and cost control expectations.
- Supervise setup and launch of new clients in location with ProShip.
- Supervise setup and rollout of rate shopping groups.
- Responsible for auditing invoicing and shipping data within audit software.
- Supervise HTS system data for correctness.
- Supervise AES filings.
- Play a key role in rate card builds and analytics for annual GRI.
- Various duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Fundamental understanding of Transportation industry, with special focus on parcel carrier networks.
- Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational, analytical skills.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Project Management & Project Planning experience.
- Forecasting (budget, volume trends) experience
- Customer Service focus – internal and external customers.
- Continuous improvement (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen) experience.
- Problem solving and Analytical skillset.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and projects successfully.

- Domestic transportation or distribution experience.

Qualifications
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
