Job Overview
Join Advantage Medical Professionals as a Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN for an 8-week travel assignment in Opelousas, LA. Candidates must have at least 1 year of recent L&D experience and hold active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Requirements
- License: Active RN license (Louisiana or compact)
- Certifications Required: Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Experience Needed: Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including catheterization and tube feeding when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and document patient assessments and interventions.
