Overview
We are seeking a Part -Time dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our growing healthcare team. We are actively looking for a team member to work one late afternoon and one weekend morning shift per week. The FNP will provide comprehensive care to patients above 14 years of age, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations.
- Manage acute pain and chronic conditions through appropriate treatment modalities.
- Provide health coaching to patients to promote wellness and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including discharge planning and follow-up care.
- Utilize E Clinical Works health record systems
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Address the unique needs of patients with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and appropriate care strategies.
- Stay current with ICD-9 coding for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
- Engage in senior care initiatives, providing specialized support for the elderly population.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner training.
- Current Virginia state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification from a recognized board (e.g., ANCC or AANP).
- At least five years of proven experience in Family Practice or primary care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly E Clinical Works, is desirable.
- Aesthetic experience is highly desirable but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices of medical care.
