Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Fire Alarm and Security Installation Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the ins and outs of alarm systems installation, repair, and maintenance. You will be responsible for assisting in the installation and testing of fire alarm systems, surveillance, access control, intrusion systems, and other low volt systems. As a Fire Alarm and Security Installation Apprentice, you will work with a team of experienced technicians to install and maintain fire alarm and security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting in the installation of fire alarm and security systems: You will work alongside experienced technicians to install various components of fire alarm and security systems, including control panels, sensors, and wiring.
• Helping with system testing and troubleshooting: You will assist in testing and troubleshooting systems to ensure that they are functioning properly and meeting safety standards.
• Maintaining records: You will be responsible for keeping accurate records of work performed, materials used, and other relevant information. This includes preparing reports and maintaining a log of daily activities.
• Learning safety regulations and protocols: You will learn safety regulations and protocols for fire alarm and security system installations, and ensure that these are followed at all times.
• Communicating with team members and customers: You will communicate with team members and customers to ensure that work is completed on schedule, and to answer any questions they may have about the installation or maintenance process.
• Learning new skills: You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques related to fire alarm and security system installation and maintenance

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Pass a background check
• Meet the requirements to obtain an alarm license from the State of Arkansas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Springdale, AR 72764: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Fire alarm: 1 year (Preferred)
