Job Type: Full-time/Hourly

Total Compensation: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

  • Working safely is our company’s number one business objective. It is the responsibility of each employee to comply with all safety and health requirements whether established by the company or by federal, state or local law. Each employee must be dedicated in his or her safety responsibility while conducting business. It will be a condition of employment that all employees are expected to work safely and contribute to the safety of others.
  • Experience in operating forklift.
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area.
  • Stock office supplies and PPE.
  • Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors. Picks up any equipment for next-day business no later than 2:30 pm each day. Also needs to sign and receive all deliveries made to the warehouse.
  • Must be able to pull and back in a trailer.
  • Responsible for emptying dump trailer when it is full.
  • Maintains trucks and vans by completing preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs.
  • Inspects ASC vehicles when they arrive onsite for any damage as well as confirms that vehicle is clean and all safety items are stocked on the truck.
  • If an ASC vehicle needs tires, a windshield repaired, or wipers replaced; notify the Assistant Office Manager/General Manager for approval and proceed to get the vehicle repaired.
  • Repairs and maintenance on company trailers. Includes making sure chains are of good quality, lights work, pins, locks, etc.
  • Maintain Trailer “checkout” sheet/book. This sheet should be turned into Assistant Office Manager at the end of each week.
  • Maintain inventory and checkout sheet of Window Units/Space Heaters.
  • Repairs and maintenance of the office building.
  • Assists each department as needed if approved by Assistant Office Manager or General Manager.
  • Checks warehouse each day for anything that needs to be taken care of – i.e. – cleanliness, organization, etc.
  • Responsible for keeping restrooms stocked with paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, etc.
  • Responsible for keeping grounds/property free of trash and debris including inside and outside of the fence line each day. In addition, this position should walk the property daily and clean the lot with magnetic sweeper.
  • Confirm each day that the items “junk” in the bone yard are out of the way of obstructing the security beams.
  • Responsible for taking out the office and breakroom trash daily.
  • Always confirm there are clean drop cloths and empty recovery drums in the warehouse each day.
  • Before leaving the office during working hours, alert your manager of your whereabouts in case there is a delivery or task that may need to be completed while out running errands.
  • Must scan or take a picture of all receipts each week that were charged on the company credit card and email to appropriate department.
  • Must have organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • This individual must possess the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization; as well as, external vendors, business contacts, existing customers, and potential customers.
  • Demonstrates and promotes a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the company.
  • Continually looks for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.
  • Continually strives to improve personal performance. Takes an active role in seeking training or other opportunities for growth and development.
  • Does not divulge any confidential personnel and/or corporate policy.
  • This is a “safety sensitive” position.
  • Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Preferred forklift experience.
  • Preferred pulling, loading and backing trailer experience.

  • Here at ASC, each pay period for payroll is the duration of 1 week. It begins on Wednesday and goes through the following Tuesday. All hourly positions here at ASC will be eligible for overtime, which includes any hours worked over 40 hours within the same pay period.
