Position : Controls Engineer - Entry Level
This role supports the Irvine Manufacturing team in producing crimped assemblies for SMA (Shape-Memory Alloy) wires used in Omnipods. The position involves applying industry standards for machine and panel safety, designing schematics, wiring sub-panels, programming PLCs and HMIs, and creating validation documentation.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with machine and panel safety standards.
- Read schematics and wire panels / machines using appropriate insulation colors, gauges, and routing methods.
- Create validation documentation per Insulet standards.
- Design and review electrical schematics for accuracy and update as needed.
- Design and review PLC and HMI software, making updates as necessary.
- Adhere to all Insulet policies and procedures.
