What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer (Capital Projects) position at Advantage Technical?
Capital Project experience is required.
The position will be responsible for working closely with the construction management team to develop and refine instrumentation design, ensuring alignment with project specifications, best practices, and industry standards.
LONG TERM PROJECT (project duration is 24 months).
Per-diem, full benefits, and solid pay is offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the execution of the capital project by working together with the construction manager regarding instrumentation-related construction activities and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Evaluate and provide input on construction estimates, specifically concerning instrumentation and controls, to ensure budget alignment.
Oversee the installation of instrumentation systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
Review and approve instrumentation and control specifications, ensuring they meet project requirements and safety standards.
Assist in developing and reviewing engineering construction packages related to instrumentation and controls.
Manage interfaces at the greenfield site to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems with other project components.
Review and approve the selection of instrumentation suitable for different area classifications.
Ensure that best practices and standards for instrumentation and controls are applied throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain accurate documentation of instrumentation activities, including design changes, testing results, and project progress reports.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering highly preferred).
