IT Project Manager to support an ERP migration project. Strong Agile skills required!



Location: Orem, UT (100% onsite)

Duration: contract through November/December timeframe



Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a staff augmentation contract position. This role will focus exclusively on managing and supporting teams responsible for migrating systems from the deprecated Ellucian Banner 8 Self-Service product to alternative platforms. The Project Manager will also oversee infrastructure projects, disaster recovery planning, and assess organizational readiness for a potential future ERP transition.



This is an on-site, full-time position requiring presence in Utah, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage projects related to the migration of Banner 8 Self-Service to alternative solutions, including Banner 9, custom applications, or new third-party products.

Oversee 80-90 self-service products, ensuring their transition, replacement, or deprecation.

Conduct discovery and data gathering to support decision-making.

Assess organizational readiness for a potential ERP transition to Banner within 2-3 years.

Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

Track project progress, verify necessary replacements, and present findings to stakeholders.

Collaborate with enterprise architects and the product management team.

Report project status using Jira and Agile methodologies.

Facilitate meetings, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain working relationships.

Remove barriers to project progress and improve organizational culture.

Assist in managing additional smaller projects as workload allows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience in project management with an Agile framework.

Ability to take full ownership of projects and drive them to completion.

Strong stakeholder coordination and relationship-building skills.

Experience in tracking progress, reporting, and facilitating project meetings.

Proficiency with Jira for project tracking.

Knowledge of discovery and data gathering methodologies.

Experience in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Understanding of ERP migration processes (experience with Banner is a plus).

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
