Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and layouts for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Apply your expertise in CNC milling, turning, grinding, and drilling
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives by minimizing waste and enhancing resource utilization
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Lead or support continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Introduce new technologies and machinery to boost capability and output
- Design tooling and fixtures for machining operations
- Document improvements and report on key performance metrics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a machining environment (machine shop background preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD
- Understanding of technical drawings, G-code, ERP systems, and quality control standards
- Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (a plus)
