Contract Mechanical Designer

Location: Ponca City Refinery, Ponca City, OK

Duration: 1 Year (Potential for Extension)

Pay Rate: $40 - $46.00

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts (OT possible)

Our client is seeking a Contract Mechanical Designer to support Refinery Technical Services (RTS) projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for piping drawings and other refinery-related design tasks while working closely with engineers, contractors, and mechanical craftsmen.

Key Responsibilities

• Create project drawings using Ponca City Refinery's design standards and project procedures


• Develop schematics, isometrics, building layouts, equipment layouts, and pipe routing


• Prepare pipe schedules, installation details, and bills of materials


• Learn and apply relevant design standards and codes


• Collaborate within a project team to assemble design packages

Required Qualifications

• 1-5 years of CAD experience


• Strong desire to learn and grow within the role


• Ability to work effectively as part of a project team


• Comfortable working in a diverse team environment (Engineers, Contractors, Mechanical Craftsmen)

Preferred Qualifications

• AutoCAD experience


• 3D Modeling experience


• Associate Degree in Design, Drafting, or Engineering Technology


• Knowledge of piping design and structural layout

Requirement: Candidate will be required to pass a 10-panel drug screening
