Plant Engineer -Manufacturing
About the Role
We are seeking a Plant Engineer to manage engineering projects, optimize plant operations, and drive process improvements in a manufacturing environment. This role requires collaboration across production, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
? Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scopes are met.
? Develop project scopes, objectives, and schedules, aligning with stakeholders.
? Identify and mitigate project risks, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, SQF, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
Plant Operations & Process Optimization
? Analyze and improve plant efficiency, safety, and product quality.
? Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflows and minimize downtime.
? Implement Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
? Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
? Ensure all engineering activities meet FDA, environmental, and worker safety regulations.
? Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to maintain a safe working environment.
? Maintain and update technical documentation, including work instructions, machine operation guides, and training materials.
Technical Support & Innovation
? Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting production equipment and processes.
? Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies that enhance plant operations.
What You Need to Succeed
? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
? 3 years of engineering experience in FDA manufacturing or a similar regulated industry.
? Strong knowledge of FDA safety regulations (SQF, FDA) & manufacturing processes.
? Proficiency in project management & engineering tools (Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
? Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive process improvements.
