What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Planning Scheduler position at Advantage Technical?
Position Description: Planning/Scheduling and progress/quantity verification for a $200-300MM Capital Project at one of our Clients sites.
This position is responsible for:
- Daily project execution
- Providing daily updates to the Site Project Leadership Team
- Providing functional guidance through Central Project Controls
Location: Sweeny, TX (site based, potential for hybrid schedule)
Project Duration: Ready to hire; project length 1-2 years
Responsibilities:
- Provide Schedule/Progress performance measurement, assessment, and analysis to Project Management Team--analyze impacts, changes, and assist in development of recovery plans and scenarios.
- Review Contractor Schedule and Progress development and reporting--ensuring initial plan meets company baseline requirements, earned/actual data is accurate, and forecast data is realistic; drive, audit, and challenge Contractors as appropriate
- Provide schedule layouts and reporting to the Project Team to aid in understanding the Plan, variances, and status of the work.
- Provide oversight and validation of Contractor reported progress/installed quantities. Assist in reporting.
- Ensure Contractor is working to the Schedule/Plan, with focus on coordination and productivity needed to maintain critical path/schedule deadlines (and explain deviations).
- Support contractor adherence to the staffing plan, and validation of personnel on site and hours worked/reported.
- Support the validation of ordered, received, invoiced, inventory, and installed materials and tagged equipment.
- Support Contractor adherence to the equipment utilization plan in a schedule and cost efficient manner; assist with reporting deviations, and mob/demob recommendations.
- Support Contractor, subcontractor, and Company coordination, interface management, planning, and reporting.
- Support field RFI's and change management inquiries.
Required:
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Strong Primavera P6 Skills
- Strong excel and analytical skills
- Site project experience
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with a range of project team members
- Ability to read and speak English fluently.
Preferred:
- 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher in related field
- Have industry related certification (AACE PSP, PMI-SP, PMP)
- Turnarounds experience a plus
