About the position

The Commercial Sheet Metal Superintendent will oversee the fabrication and installation of sheet metal products, ensuring quality control and effective project management.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong skills in reading schematics and collaborating with other trades on construction sites.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install sheet metal products according to specifications and blueprints.


• Read and interpret schematics to determine project requirements and specifications.


• Utilize construction management software, such as ProCore, for project scheduling and documentation.


• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all work meets industry standards and client expectations.


• Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless integration of sheet metal work.


• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.


• Use tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical components related to sheet metal installations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation within a construction environment.


• Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and project scheduling methodologies.


• Proficient in using construction management software, particularly ProCore, is preferred.


• Strong understanding of quality control processes in the construction industry.


• Ability to work effectively on construction sites, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.
