Military Vehicle Validation Technician
Job Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Hourly Rate: Up to $35/hour depending on experience.
Schedule: 9/80 work week – off every other Friday!
Job Summary:

We currently have multiple exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunities in Sterling Heights, MI for Military Vehicle Mechanics to work as Validation Technicians to perform Validation / Verification of Technical Manual Pages to Support Abrams, MSHORAD, SMET, BOOKER, OMFV, and Stryker series Technical Documentation for Military Vehicle programs.
Job Description:
- Perform Validation/Verification of Technical Manual Pages to Support Abrams, MSHORAD, SMET, BOOKER, OMFV and Stryker series Technical Documentation.
- Will perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and software downloading on Abrams, Wolverine, Buffalo, and Stryker series vehicles.
- Perform diagnostics and systems troubleshooting of Abrams, Wolverine, FOX and Stryker vehicles, components, and assemblies.
- Support Government Verifications and Logistics Demonstrations on tracked and wheeled vehicle technical publications at company and Government facilities.
- Serve as liaison between company and Government representatives to resolve technical/administrative issues identified during Validation/Verification and Logistics Demonstration programs.
- Analyze Engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications to identify hardware configuration requirements and diagnose vehicle system faults.
Required:
- Previous military tracked and/or wheeled vehicle maintenance experience is required.
- Must be able to perform diagnostics and systems troubleshooting of Abrams, Stryker and/or MPF vehicles, components, and assemblies.
- Must be able to organize and conduct Validation/Verification of Operator, Maintenance and Troubleshooting Technical Publications for tracked and wheeled vehicles and ancillary equipment to insure technical accuracy/usability.
- Must be able to meet ASR Guidelines for working in an enclosed vehicle IAW SP 2-644. (Must be shorter than 6' 4", and weigh less than 260lbs)
- Must be physically able to work on/in tracked and wheeled vehicles.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance.
- Occasional out-of-town travel may be required to conduct programs.
- Extended workdays/workweeks may be required in support of Logistics programs.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills required, including ability to use all Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office products to develop/maintain departmental forms and records in accordance with ISO standards.
- Must have good oral and written communications skills.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
