2nd shift hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
3rd shift hours: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Pay rate: $19 - $24/hr.
Industrial Painter essential tasks:
The position involves preparing, coating, and finishing metal and other surfaces using a wet paint Graco system while ensuring a uniform and high-quality finish. Responsibilities include inspecting painted units for defects, maintaining and replacing paint gun components, and performing daily equipment checks and cleaning procedures. Additional duties include maintaining the paint booth, replacing air filters, conducting touch-ups, and assisting other operators with production and quality issues. Other tasks may be assigned as needed to support overall operations.
Requirements:
- 1 years of Powder Coat experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge and skill to apply coating principles, troubleshoot issues like fisheye, poor adhesion, or rough coatings.
- Ability to use and read measuring instruments such as viscosity testers and thickness gages.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Ability to interpret specifications and standards for color, coating thickness, and mixing instructions.
- Skilled in using tools and equipment for coating operations in an industrial setting.
- Strong listening, communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.
