Responsibilities
The Rehabilitation Aide/Tech is a key member of the rehabilitation team responsible for assisting residents in skilled nursing facilities with therapeutic activities, helping them progress toward optimal patient involvement and independent maintenance of their needs. This role ensures the safe and quality delivery of therapy services, maintains a clean and organized therapy environment, and complies with all Federal, State, and local regulations. The Rehabilitation Aide/Tech demonstrates support for the mission and goals of the facility, working collaboratively with other staff members to provide high-quality care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport residents to and from therapy activities.
Position residents appropriately for specific exercises and provide support throughout the completion of exercises.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing documents, answering phones, and assisting with administrative duties as needed.
Ensure the therapy area remains clean, safe, and uncluttered at all times.
Set up and break down equipment before and after therapy sessions.
Foster a positive, fun, and therapeutic environment for residents.
Assist the rehabilitation department in delivering clinical services in compliance with company policies, state requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Perform basic computer tasks such as word processing as needed.
Clean, maintain, and organize all equipment used within the department after each session.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of therapeutic activities.
Ability to work well as a part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or with a geriatric population is preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
