Job Title: Business Development Manager – Heavy Duty, Agriculture, Construction, Earth Moving & Transportation

Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000
About this position:
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the embedded computing industry. The successful candidate will focus strongly on market research and be responsible for identifying and communicating new business opportunities and trends within the Heavy Duty, Agriculture, Construction, Earth Moving & Transportation marketplace back to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive market research to identify new business opportunities and trends within the embedded computing industry
- Communicate findings and insights on market opportunities and trends back to the business to inform decision-making and strategy development
- Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, including negotiations and contract management
- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive company growth, with a focus on market research and trend analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to identify and execute new business opportunities
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform business development efforts
- Achieve or exceed annual sales targets and business development metrics
- Data analysis and visualization software, such as Excel, Google Sheets, or Tableau
- Market research tools, such as surveys, focus groups, or online panels
- Customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce
- Presentation software, such as PowerPoint
Qualifications:
- Must have existing relationships within the Heavy Duty, Agriculture, Construction, Earth Moving & Transportation verticals
- Preference for candidates from these metro areas: Chicago IL, Fargo ND, Austin TX, Detroit MI, Nashville TN, Peoria IL
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the embedded computing industry
- Strong market research and trend analysis skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Travel of 25%
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools
