Role and Responsibilities:
This position is for Full-Time Logistician to serve as Inventory Management Specialist assisting the Planning & Inventory Branch. This position involves managing inventory of consumable items/piece parts, HAZMAT, and Ordnance Handling Equipment (OHE).
Position Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED and 2-6 years of experience
• Able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance
• Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents
• Operate Pallet jack or forklift in performing warehousing duties
• Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
• Examining stored materials and report discrepancies, deterioration and obvious damages
• Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
• Preparing materials for shipping using the specified government quality procedures
• Responsible for accurate inventory of stored materials
• Update and track material via material tracking system and identify any discrepancies
• Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment
• Able to work independently to plan and accomplish complete projects
• Take responsibility for action items assigned, complete the actions and provide status
• Comply and follow company policies and procedures
Preferred Skills:
• Forklift driver’s license
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Experience with computer-based material tracking system
• Previous HAWMAT and Ordnance Handling experience
Physical requirements:
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
