Story Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects :
Software to simplify work for software developer. Remove undifferentiated work so the developers can focus on software.
Droid analytics – Analytics, reports across builder works
Typical Day in the Role
Work with stakeholders and customers to understand and document business requirements
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
Drive operational excellence for data ingestion, transformation and publication to ensure data accuracy and timeliness
Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis : data integrity, test design, validation, and documentation
Triage many possible courses of action in a high-ambiguity environment, making use of both quantitative analysis and business judgment
More independent work then collaborative
Candidate Requirements :
Successful attributes include the ability to be an effective communicator to various audiences, the capacity to remain flexible and adept at learning new tools, and the ability to implement new systems within a team atmosphere.
Our environment is deadline driven and fast paced and therefore requires detail-oriented individuals comfortable interacting or working with multiple teams (business and technical).
Basic Qualifications
3 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. Experience
2 Experience with data visualization using Quicksight or similar tool
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipeline
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Glue, and Redshif
Experience in advanced SQL to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related technical / engineering field
Problem Solving
Understanding of data engineering
Preferred Qualification
Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
Master’s Degree in technical or engineering field
Top 3 must-have hard skills
Ability to interact with large data sets
High quality dashboards and reports
Navigate ambiguous request and optimal solution
