Job Description
The RF Application Engineer (AE) primary duties include day-to-day operations as well as project support on a demand basis. The AE will be responsible for ensuring that the team is supported and any issues that arise are addressed quickly and efficiently. The AE will also provide guidance and support to the team, and act as a bridge between the team and other internal departments. The AE should also act as a mentor to the team, helping them to grow and develop their skills. The AE should also be able to provide guidance and advice on the best course of action. Finally, the AE should be proactive in ensuring that the team's goals and objectives are met and in identifying issues and offering solutions.
Roles and responsibilities for this role :
- Provides technical leadership and support in the sales and support of Advantest V93000 Semiconductor Test Systems and Applications for a specific customer or wherever business needs dictate.
- Demonstrates special RF technology skills in the field of wireless connectivity products such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, transceiver, front end RF devices.
- Has familiarity with Rx and Tx Test Methodology, Test Library.
- Has the ability to design hardware for RF devices and having knowledge of RF Matching and De-embedding is a plus.
- Ensures the product functions per specifications.
- Integrates Advantest products and services (at the system / solutions level) into customer's environment.
- Represents customer's needs of their assigned business segment to field or factory.
- Contributes to achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction, loyalty and engagement.
- Supports multiple projects with a primary focus on mixed signal and RF technologies.
- Works on system / application engineering assignments with clearly defined objectives
- Solves problems of limited scope and complexity
- Delivers customer training classes and consulting related to our application, as well as assist in pre-sales, as part of their tasks
- Approximately 20% travel to various customer and Advantest sites
