Production Cost Analyst

Job Description:

Advantest America is the North American subsidiary of Advantest Corporation, the world's largest provider of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) to the semiconductor industry. For seven decades, Advantest has led the way in developing new and innovative test and handling solutions for the global electronics industry. Advantest is seeking for an experienced Production Cost Analyst. This is an on-site role in our Lake Forest, CA office

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain strong collaboration and communication with stakeholders at all levels

• Perform COGS, margin, and variances analysis. Identify areas for production cost reduction to increase product profitability

• Work with Program Managers and Cost Accounting team during semi-annual standard cost setting

• Calculate material overhead rate, manufacturing overhead rate and resource hourly rate to support standard cost update

• Investigate accuracy of resource and overhead rates, routings, over-/under-absorption and drive corrective actions

• Support Global Cost Accounting team in standard setting and daily costing, utilizing Oracle standard functionalities like Supply Chain Cost Rollup program

• Participate in projects and initiate improvement actions as needed

• Perform month end close activities and ensure financials are compliant with IFRS

• Handle internal and external audit requests

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field and relevant professional work experience
• ERP system proficiency with WIP, Cost Management, and MRP modules is a must
• In depth understanding of in-house production environment
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good knowledge of SOX Risk and Control management, IFRS, and cost accounting procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):

• German and Japanese language skill is a plus
