Quality Supervisor
Role Summary
Our client is searching for a Quality supervisor to join their rapidly growing team. The Quality Supervisor will assist the Quality Manager in assuring that client expectations, the quality system, corrective and preventative actions, and applicable compliance issues are exceeded. The Quality Supervisor works across departments to identify and implement specific quality initiatives and corrective action plans. They will provide directions to other members of the Quality team while performing their day-to-day quality activities.
Key Results Area
Ensures that processes needed for the quality system are established, implemented, trained, and maintained
Works with different departments to ensure that non-conforming and unsatisfactory materials and products are properly contained, and work instructions are generated for re-work
Investigate, issue, and log corrective action requests are required
Gathers cost and time spent for the re-work and update of nonconforming reports
Prepares, revision control, and distribution of specific documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Audits all areas of the facility to ensure compliance of SOPs
Provide direction to the Quality Coordinator in performing day-to-day quality activities
Solves problems and deals with a variety of variables in situations where standardization may or may not exist
Manages, mentors, and leads others in the performance of their duties
Reads, analyzes, and interprets industry information and communicates that information in a variety of forums
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of an associate degree with at least four (4) years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on Quality Control and Assurance
High level of attention to detail and follow-through skills
Willingness to be accountable for the level of quality produced
Strong knowledge of USPS postal regulations preferred
Basic cost accounting skills
Able to communicate effectively via email and face-to-face interaction
Capable of doing basic math skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
