Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities across core early childhood subjects.
- Support the daily routines and structure of the classroom, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
- Foster positive interactions with students, guiding them in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Help manage classroom organization, including materials preparation, setup, and cleanup.
- Reinforce classroom expectations and support behavior management strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Assist in observing and documenting student progress, providing insights that inform instruction.
- Engage with parents and caregivers as needed, supporting the school-home partnership.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Early Childhood Education or related field); an associate degree or significant relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and a commitment to play-based and inquiry-driven learning.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to work collaboratively with the lead teacher and adapt to the evolving needs of young learners.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive community that values diversity.
