Position: Logistics Operation Technician
Location: 2729 R Street, building 837, WPAFB, OH 45433-7913
Schedule: The contractor is responsible for conducting business, between the hours of 0730-1600
Monday through Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- The contractor employee shall have a minimum associates degree in a scientific field, with a preference for chemistry or biology.
- The contractor employee shall have at least two (2) years experience managing inventory equipment and necessary administrative duties that correspond with the work.
- The contractor employee shall have experience as a logistics operations focal point.
- The contractor employee shall have the ability to lift/move 50lbs.
- The contractor employee shall have strong organizational and managerial skills.
- The contractor employee shall have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- The contractor employee shall demonstrate an exceptionally high capacity for working autonomously and performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- The contractor employee shall have experience interacting with the equivalent of Wing-level Logistics Managers.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with all PWS 1.2 tasks.
- At least two (2) years demonstrated experience of relevant regulations and safety standards for biotechnology, sensors development and cognitive neuroscience laboratories.
Responsibilities:
- The contractor employee shall support the Division Operations manager and the division lab manager while assisting in facilitating the management and oversight of the operations of 37 labs across multiple buildings, branches, and sections to ensure all labs operate efficiently, safely, and effectively.
- The contractor employee shall assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory operations and ensure overall compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
- The contractor employee shall monitor lab equipment, inventory, and supplies, ensuring they are properly stocked and work with Hazardous Waste Managers to properly disposed of based on relevant chemical and biological hygiene regulations, i.e. 711 HPW Chemical Hygiene Plan.
- The contractor employee shall identify lab consumable replenishments and complete appropriate paperwork for the appropriate Government Purchase Card holder.
- The contractor employee shall work with lab monitors and lab supervisors to ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained and serviced regularly.
- The contractor employee shall assist the lab manager with any required equipment, supply, and logistics operation orientation of new lab personnel.
- The contractor employee shall coordinate with the division lab manager, lab supervisors, and lab monitors, all laboratory activities as it pertains to equipment control and accountability within the Division.
- The contractor employee shall track/maintain physical and electronic records of available equipment and maintaining visibility of equipment (i.e. hand receipt tracking or local form).
- The contractor employee shall manage the lab equipment using the knowledge of United States Air Force (USAF) and AFRL guidance regarding Logistics Material Control Activity (LMCA), Medical Equipment Management Office (MEMO).
- The contractor employee shall manage current equipment operational status (i.e. condition tags, Air Force Tech Order (AFTO) 244, Precision Measuring Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), and medical maintenance requirements).
- The contractor employee shall coordinate with service technicians to conduct/track maintenance of identified equipment.
- The contractor employee shall coordinate the purging/decontamination of equipment for turn-in.
- The contractor employee shall assist with annual reviews of entire equipment inventory.
- The contractor employee shall assist with transferring equipment from contract to government ownership following 711 HPW/RHB purchasing policies.
- The contractor employee shall submit work orders for equipment turn-in, transfer, and disposal.
- The contractor employee shall manage the Divisions Composite Took Kit (CTK) program.
- The contractor employee shall manage the Divisions Test Measurement Diagnostic Evaluation (TMDE) program.
