The community youll be caring for :
The role youll contribute :
Assures timely and accurate entries of medical histories, progress notes and treatment recommendations in the patients'
medical records.
Assures all patient management documentation, including pharmaceutical modalities, as outlined in the patient's
medical record and signed by the supervising physician.
Practices within the scope of each practice as delineated by education and training including, but not limited to
prescriptive privileges and in accordance with supervising physician guidelines.
Refers patients for laboratory, x-ray and specialty care for needed services that cannot be provided at the practice.
Assures that adequate patient health records are maintained and confidentiality is maintained under HIPAA regulations.
Participates with supervising physician in a periodic review of the patients' health records
Qualifications
What You Will Need :
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
Must have knowledge of local, state and federal regulations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Master's degree and certification from an accredited ARNP program.
Minimum of 3 years of recent APRN Cardiology experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
APRN Nurse Practitioner
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :
Current FL NP license with ANCC or AANP certification
Current BLS.
Current ACLS
Job Summary :
A cardiac-vascular nurse practitioner's duties include in-depth cardiovascular assessments, working closely with
physicians and providing health education to patients and families. Assessing patients for acute and chronic illness,
managing those illnesses with medications and other treatments and monitoring for results are among the responsibilities.
Cardiac-vascular nurse practitioners also are responsible for interpreting lab work data, radiology and other test data, and acting on those findings.
