AdventHealth Lake Mary ER, located north of Orlando, is an extension of our AdventHealth Altamonte Campus. Our 18,000-square-foot facility features state-of-the-art emergency healthcare serving Seminole County.
The 24-bed ER includes an urgent care track to diagnose and treat non-emergent cases efficiently, an observation unit to closely monitor care for up to 24 hours, and offers emergent care with a helicopter pad onsite.

About the Job
Under general supervision, primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with exam progress.
The tech II position accepts additional duties in the department, such as keeping, counting, and recording statistics, tracking and ordering supplies, performing complicated 3D and CTA workstation studies, overseeing smooth operations of campus locations, performing difficult exams, teaching students/new technologists, and other tasks assigned by the department manager.
Responsibilities
- Performs all exams, including the most difficult, using Facility CT protocols.
- Uses Facility policy for proper patient identification prior to performing exams.
- Properly screens patients for contrast allergies (Exam Supervision and Administration).
- Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors.
- Properly screens patients of childbearing age and operates imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintains properly stocked, organized, and clean rooms.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field.
- Completion of Radiologic Technology training and A.R) registration.
- BS in a healthcare-related discipline.
- Two years of hospital-based clinical Radiology experience.
