The role you’ll contribute:
Administrative Director of Facilities Operations acts as a resource to Executive and Management in the daily operations of the hospital. The Administrative Director is responsible for the management oversight of facilities and maintenance, Environmental Services, Security, Biomedical Engineering, and other areas as assigned. This position is responsible for the coordination and direction of the departments listed above and the management of the goods, budgets, services, efficiencies and organization as is aligned by THH strategic objectives. This position also serves as the owner's representative relating to all construction activity on campus and all associated support functions in both existing Texas Health Huguley facilities and satellites.

- Assists in the development of programs for recruitment, retention, development and continuing education of all staff members.
- Develops and implements mechanisms/processes for recognizing and rewarding contributions of staff.
- Maintain time and schedule commitments to facilitate work flow processes.
- Models outstanding patient and customer service and holds Directors/staff accountable for the same.
- Assures staff opportunities for attending educational offerings which facilitate a healing and caring environment for patients and staff.
- Monitors and assesses customer satisfaction data and takes corrective action as appropriate through the CQI process.
- Surveys customers to determine satisfaction levels.
- Participates in capital budget process to achieve strategic initiatives of the hospital to meet present and future needs. Holds Direct reports accountable for achievement of budget guidelines throughout the year. Utilizes decision support data and provides timely financial variance reporting.
- Works with resource manager in materials management in achieving efficiency regarding supply expenses.
- Participates in selecting outside sources of needed services.
- Implements cost savings initiatives to track use of resources and ways to pursue cost avoidance.
- Manages general contractors, and helps Facilitate the timely completion of all construction projects on THH campus and satellites.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study
- 5 years of position related experience at the most senior level of Facility Leadership. Position-related experience includes: management of all maintenance trades in healthcare support; management of new construction projects in a healthcare setting; strong people skills and technical expertise as well as strong contract negotiation skill; and excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or to be obtained during first year of employment
