The Role You Will Contribute
The community benefit specialist, supporting the community benefit manager, assumes responsibility for assisting in the development and operations of meaningful community benefit initiatives to elevate AdventHealth's commitment to improve community health, prosperity and well-being. This role will support and coordinate the manager's strategy for community benefit work at facilities across the organization; including the development and reviews of Community Health Needs Assessments and Community Health Plans, the tracking of community benefit activities through CBISA and the management of the data platform Metopio.

The Role You Will Contribute
The community benefit specialist, supporting the community benefit manager, assumes responsibility for assisting in the development and operations of meaningful community benefit initiatives to elevate AdventHealth's commitment to improve community health, prosperity and well-being. This role will support and coordinate the manager's strategy for community benefit work at facilities across the organization; including the development and reviews of Community Health Needs Assessments and Community Health Plans, the tracking of community benefit activities through CBISA and the management of the data platform Metopio.
The Value You Will Bring To The Team
Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) Development and Review
- In conjunction with market teams, develop and write CHNAs for facilities throughout the system including:
- Collecting primary data through surveying, focus groups and stakeholder interviews
- Identifying secondary data from third party platforms and utilization data from internal sources
- Analyzing data to identify trends and creating presentations based on findings
- Collaborate with facilities in the collection of data to support the development of CHNAs.
- Assist with the development of materials to streamline the CHNA development and approval process.
- Identify and research nationwide best practices to improve system tracking procedures and policies.
- Review and edit CHNAs from across the organization to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Aggregate CHNA data and run reports for ongoing projects to support community benefit projects and strategy.
- Assist in the development and tracking of community health initiatives to create and capture robust metrics.
- Coordinate with the facilities in the organization to capture in-kind donations identified in their CHP for IRS tracking.
- Identify internal community benefit programs with opportunities for development and growth
- Bachelor's Degree in public health, policy, community health, population health or related field.
- 2-years' experience in community or public health, policy, data analytics or related field
- Master's Degree in public health, policy, community health, population health or related field
