Shift : As needed

The community you’ll be caring for: 1000 WATERMAN WAY, Tavares, FL 32778

The role you’ll contribute: Provides patients with Cardiopulmonary support treatment, care, and evaluations during their inpatient stay.

The value you’ll bring to the team

• Delivers prescribed medication via inhalation in accordance with the physician’s order
• Oxygen therapy in accordance with departmental oxygen protocol
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments, as appropriate
• Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions
• Adheres to department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensures patient documentation is accurate, complete and complies with department protocols and procedures
• Cleans and stocks equipment
• Participates in the Code Blue and Rapid Response Team
• Administers all non-invasive modes of therapy for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Provides clerical assistance as required by the department
• May perform setup of Holter monitors
• May perform electrocardiograms
• May performs cardiac stress test
• May assist with patient transports requiring Respiratory Intervention
• May performs Exercise Oximetry as ordered
• May maintain intubation boxes up to date, stocked and secured
• May perform pacer interrogations
• May maintain Autopaps for QHS use
• May perform peripheral intravenous venous line insertion
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required

• Graduated from a Paramedic program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Paramedic license required from the respective state board and/or respective state equivalent
• Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions
• Ability to identify and treat life threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  
  

Preferred

• Associates of Science in health-related field
• Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification
