The Role You’ll Contribute
Operates switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls. Monitors and initiates protocols for life safety alarms. Follows pre-established guidelines to perform job functions. Applies knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts, practices, and procedures within the hospital.

The Role You’ll Contribute
Operates switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls. Monitors and initiates protocols for life safety alarms. Follows pre-established guidelines to perform job functions. Applies knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts, practices, and procedures within the hospital.
The Value You’ll Bring To The Team
- Demonstrates the appropriate greeting when answering the telephone identifying the department and self to internal customers and correctly identifying facility name to external customers.
- Overhead paging including all emergency overhead paging according to proper procedure.
- Demonstrates that you pleasantly answer and accurately transfer all calls in a timely and confidential manner.
- Consistently monitors and timely and accurately responds to all alarms by following proper procedures.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of one year of previous high volume telephone experience
- A minimum of one year of previous customer service experience
