The Role You’ll Contribute
The Perioperative Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse who has the most direct impact on the care and services that patients and families require throughout their preoperative and postoperative experience. This Manager is directly responsible to the Director of Surgical Services and is responsible for the continual operation of specified nursing units including Preadmission Testing, Pre-op Surgical area, Post Anesthesia, and Endoscopy. The Manager can demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The Manager is skilled in coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services for our patient population. The Manager assumes quality of care is delivered for our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. The Manager is the change agent for the assigned areas of responsibility and are responsible for implementing any changes that the unit is required to undergo. The Manager actively participates in outstanding customer service, including service to patients, families, physicians, and other contacts, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The Manager embraces our Mission Statement and adheres to the CREATION and Whole Care Health ideals.

- Projects and coordinates sufficient staffing to meet patient care needs
- Assures that qualifications and competencies of all employees are current
- Conducts formal evaluations according to policy
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Two (2) years of Acute Care Nursing Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- Communication skills to enhance and motivate staff
- Two (2) years of Supervision experience
- RN State of Florida License Required
- BLS
- ACLS
